SWCS is an internship site for Widener University senior BSW students,
1st and 2nd year MSW students and 4th and 5th year Psy.D. students.
All SWCS interns are required to complete a three day a week
placement and all SWCS interns receive a stipend.

SWCS interns have private office work space equipped with state-of
the-art desktop and laptop computers, DSL service, video recording
and DVD playback equipment.

All SWCS interns receive weekly individual clinical supervision and
participate in group supervision with team members weekly.  All SWCS
interns are expected to carry a caseload of individual and/or family
counseling clients,  facilitate support/treatment groups, run a staff
meeting and participate on SWCS committees.

All SWCS graduate student interns participate in a bi-weekly case
conference facilitated by social work faculty, John Giugliano, Ph.D. and
Jenny Wyatt, LCSW.  Social work faculty conduct monthly clinical
trainings/workshops at SWCS.  SWCS also supports our interns
professional development by send
ing all our interns to at least one
regional training workshop or professional conference each year.

SWCS has three clinical internship options:

"The support I get at SWCS has
been unbelievable.  Having a
large group of fellow interns has
made this field placement special."
